The Narrows RI

RI Fly Fishing “the fall run” October 21, water temps still too warm for bass (61F) so the season may push late. We saw a good bit of 2-3″ baitfish (silversides?) upstream in the flats, but no bass tonight. The locals say this place has been teeming with large bluefish for the past few days.

A girl fishing gear asked me “Have you ever eaten bluefish raw?”
“Er, no. No thanks.”
“Ya gotta bleed em!!!!!”
She also gave me another memorable quote: “My husband would be serving me divorce papers if he saw me out here with this spinning rod.”

The tip of the rod is missing in the photo, it’s blurred due to the high speed delivery.
